August 31st, 2008 Audio Message from Ariana - "A Day in the Life of Ariana as an Artist" (2003) When this web site last underwend a redesign, for some reason, Ariana's first (and to this date, only) audio message recorded exclusively for this web site was lost. Gregory Jackson managed to recover the file from an old computer he though had crashed. The link to the audio message in the "Messages from Ariana" section now works again
Gregory Jackson Reviews "The Prayer" Gregory has also posted a brief review of Ariana's CD single, "The Prayer" on his web site.

January 24th, 2008 The arianarichards.com Domain Name Acquired For a couple of weeks now, we have been in discussion with Premier Website Solutions concerning the transfer of control of ArianaRichards.com. Today, the last formalities in the process were resolved and the result is the third official web domain dedicated to Ariana. For what purpose, you might ask? For the purpose of bringing everything together. Within about a week we hope to have content up on AR.c in the form of a top-level web page offering a link to GalleryAriana.com and here to Ariana.org. So to begin with, it is going to be a gateway site. As to whatever else it may become, who knows. Whatever happens, you'll hear about it here.
January 19th, 2008 Forthcoming January/February material Hello, everyone.
Last December we launched the Media Center, with some brand new exclusive pictures of Ariana and photo galleries of hear earliest film and TV appearances up through Jurassic Park. Before this month is out, we are hoping to add a gallery for Angus, and introduce the Media Center's audio section with a couple of audio samples from Ariana's episode of the animated series, Capitol Critters.
There is still some work to be done on that front. So if we cannot introduce it by the end of this month, we will fold it into February's update, which we plan to include galleries for Born Free: A New Adventure and Ariana's episode of Boy Meets World. So we hope to have something new within the next five weeks...
Of course, I'll be announcing when the new material goes online...
Sincerely, Gregory Jackson

Message from Ariana 2/2: "Christmas Messages" Ariana also had some comments to say regardin the the compilation of Christmas messages she was sent:
Hello!
I am wishing you a bright holiday and a wonderful 2008. Thank you so much for your notes with photos this Christmas—not to mention your fantastic work on the media center! I so enjoyed exploring it and seeing photos from my films—it brought back many great memories.
This was a good Christmas, but it was the first Christmas here without my maternal grandmother as she passed away in August. Alma Parmelee was one of my very first artistic influences and will always hold a special place in my heart. The holidays make me really value time with family and see how fortunate I am to have such a great one ; I’m looking forward to New Year’s day and plan to go horseback riding for the first time in quite a while. The sore muscles will be worth it!
Dear Stephen Gaston,
Great to hear from you! I send my very best holiday wishes to you in Northern Ireland! May your winter be gentle and well-lit. And thanks so much for your note!
Dear Andyroo,
Thank you ever so much for the Chrimbo wishes—I like your British flare for words Hope the new year will be a great one for you, and that it includes abundant portion of creative endeavors in theatre, writing, and art!
Dear Matt King,
Thanks for the warm words at Christmas. So glad I managed to provide some inspiration to you! Actually, by the same token, getting notes like yours encourages and inspires me as well .
Dear Svenvollstag,
Many thanks for your Christmas and New Years greetings I wish you the very same! I always think of flying horses and inspiration as being interchangeable, but now with Harry Potter, flying cars might fill the bill as well! So thank you, and may your New Year be a bright one!
Dear Gregory,
Many thanks for sharing your kind Christmas sentiments with me! And I want to thank you for helping to organize my Christmas messages—I was really touched to receive them. And thanks also for being part of the team who got the media center together, what a wonderful surprise! Oh, yes, and thank you for your lovely poem. I hope you had a great Christmas with your family and I’m sending my warmest wishes to you for an excellent 2008!
Dear Craig,
Wow, you were six when you started watching my acting in “Spaced Invaders!” That’s fantastic! Thanks for your encouraging words, your Christmas note and New Years wishes. Glad to hear you’re keeping a close eye on my paintings, too May you have a stellar New Year!
Dear Kevin (aka Atherworld)
I TOTALLY loved seeing myself elfed! I’d seen one of my friends be elfed before, but I’d never tried it. It was so much fun and it made me laugh out loud!! Hope you had a great Christmas and may your New Year be brilliant!
Dear Benjamin (aka Tyrant Lizard King)
Thanks so much for your letter sharing some of your recent happenings and for the Merry Christmas wishes! I did have a good Christmas--it even snowed for a while. I hope you have an awesome 2008! And I also send holiday greetings to your cat Willow
Dear Justin (Jurassiraptor)
Thanks a lot for your Christmas message and photo with your dinosaur friend—very artistically done—I liked the graphics—well I guess I shouldn’t be surprised at your expertise since you use your photo editing and design skills professionally! Happy New Year to you, too!

November 29th 2007 Gregory Jackson Assumes Position of News Editor Former ARIFC Director of Relations Gregory Jackson, who recently returned to an active role in the administrative staff of this web site, is now responsible for maintaining the news updates. There are a lot of things being set in motion, and this will be where you can learn about them. So check back with us on a regular basis for the latest news as it comes available.
November 11th 2007 Announcement from David Sexton: "Gregory Jackson Returns!" David Sexton posted this in the announcement forum:
Hi All,
I'd just like to announce the return of an old hand in the ARIFC camp. Gregory Jackson has decided to come back, and is excited and full of new ideas to push things along.
Gregory has been an active part of the ARIFC since its inception, and was for quite some time our liaison between Ariana and this community.
So welcome back Gregory, and I'm looking forward to working with you, and exploring your new ideas.
Gregory had the following to say:
Glad to be back.
It is my intention to bring to the table the same level of commitment to Ariana and this community that I had before stepping down.
My first order of business is to coordinate with David and the rest of the admins to formulate a plan to breathe new life into the Ariana.org web site. I've got some ideas I will be passing to David soon, and if the admin team reaches a consensus on them, he'll be forwarding them to Ariana for her approval.
More details will be forthcoming when there is something to report. I'm ready to jump right into things.
For clarity's sake, I am not back to be in charge of things. I'm back to be a part of this great team of dedicated individuals to help carry Ariana.org forward in the true spirit of teamwork. It brought us from humble beginnings and saw us through to great achievement. It has maintained the integrity of the community in the years since Ariana put her acting career on hold. It will hold this community together and carry us forward as we strive for excellence and will justify our love and admiration for the sweet lady to whom we have dedicated our efforts these many years.
Ariana, we love you with all the love we can offer as your friends around the world, and we remain forever thankful that you named us as official. May we always prove to be worthy.
October 24th 2007 Message from Ariana: "Thank you, Thank you!!!" Ariana stopped by our forums today and thanked some of her fans who sent her birthday gifts:
Hello!
I’m back after being out of town and am rather a stranger to my computer correspondence. I’m so touched by your birthday messages and special attached files! (I’m sorry I didn’t see them until tonight. I did try the link on the eve before my birthday ,but apparently it had some glitch in it.) I did have a good birthday. It was fairly low-key and relaxed with some family and good friends around. We skipped the wild party with Chippendale waiters and all night clubbing—maybe next year--just kidding!
Tyrant Lizard King (AKA Ben Kida) What a delightful gift to wish me happy birthday live on audio. It was great to hear your voice and thanks so much for all your compliments (I will try not to get a swollen head*wink*) I’ve already passed your hello along to my parents, who remember you of course, and will pass your greeting along to Bethany, too.
Justin Peterson: Here’s the story, I opened up your “Ariana mosaic” on Adobe Photoshop and was grateful for the gesture, but admit at first I thought that you probably just hit some sort of Photoshop tool that would make the whole piece look like I something akin to leprosy, but then I was inspired to zoom in just to see how you did it. When I saw all the ‘mini me’s” I nearly fell off of my chair and onto my dog, Josie. This is amazing—how did you do this!?
Atherworld: Thanks a million for your birthday sentiments. I take all your suggestions as true compliments and good food for thought. I just might surprise you one of these days with another film role. In the meantime, I’m appeasing my suppressed “acting” with recording some songs. So far all reviews have beyond my expectations. I might release them in the future and will keep you abreast of any forthcoming plans.
And my gratitude for the posted messages as well! Hi Ari (Andrew) Cunningham, Jurassiraptor, Steven Hollywood, Yitterbium, Davide, Ather World, TLK, Andyroo, and David Sexton!

September 11th 2007 Message from Ariana: "Q&A Continues" Ariana answered some more fan questions today:
Greetings all!
Great questions--(and please forgive my delayed response!) I will look forward to answering some of the more recent ones soon.
MY 2 QUESTIONS- Thread by Blader4eva
My first question is You have been asked a similar question as the one I’m about to ask but i thought id ask anyway. I was just wondering if you believed in ufos or life on other planets e.t.c because this is a favourite topic of mine and i believe all of it and thought it would be cool if u believed in it to.
Dear Dave, (Blader4eva) Although I haven’t had any personal experience with UFO’s or aliens (except in Spaced Invaders) I still keep an open mind. But I enjoy listening to the radio talk show Coast to Coast A.M.—great hosts, guests, and interesting topics. They sometimes cover subjects on UFO’s.
My second question In a really early interview about the time Jurassic Park was first released you said you would want to produce when you were older is this still something you plan on doing some day because i know your career choices have changed since then but i think considering you career history and the producers you worked with and because your such a great person you would make pretty good producer.
Thanks for your complements! Re: producing one day--yes, I recall saying that I would be interested in pursuing that avenue. As it stands, I am so immersed in my painting and art life right now that producing is not my focus. However, of course, the future isn’t written in stone.
WOW—Thread by Lloyd Evans
Although I answered the first of these questions, I’m answering the others, now.
Hello Also,
And deepest apologies for not contributing to your card, I had grand intentions to impress you, and then a whole lot of life happened...
Anywho, I was just wondering if you truly feel that you've found your calling in your art? I don't mean to sound negative or critical, I'll be the first to admit that I know next-to-nothing about art, but I appreciate the time and effort and love that you must put into your work - much as I do my music...
What I mean to ask, in what's become a long-winded and rambling way is... do you see yourself still painting in 5 or 10 years time? or do you see yourself returning to acting, or even trying something new?
I ask because I work with a lot of university students who have no idea what they plan to do with their lives, and when they ask me if they should, I reply "I have no idea..." -Stephen Gaston
Dear Stephen, First of all, I think it’s wonderful that you support the university students in giving them the space to discover what really “makes them tick”--and everyone’s timing is different I believe. About finding my calling, I felt called to acting when I was a child and into my teens. And now, I am fully engaged in the art. I feel very fortunate to be staying in the arts. In fact, I am beginning to record again, and will be sure to announce when songs become available. Do I see myself painting 5 or 10 years from now? Absolutely. But I don’t think an actor ever stops acting. I don’t doubt that a role will catch my fancy again, but I’d sure like to keep my brushes close at hand! Best wishes in your music by the way!!
To build on the above, a prequel, what made you change your focus from acting to painting? You mentioned it hit you in college. So what happened? Massive inspiration. Prophetic old lady talking about the end of the Masters' reign? Really lousy scripts coming your way?
Dear Ather, For me, it wasn’t quite that dramatic. I had always been very much an artist even while acting and when I decided to take time to finish college, my connection to my painting craft and skills continued to grow. You were right about the roles being offered, the ones that came my way at that time were simply not interesting enough to take me away from what I was engaged in. Then, when I was invited into the California Art Club where I would be mentored by some of the best painters of the Age, I was excited to go down that path! So many doors opened, everything pointed me the way I have come, and I am beginning to enjoy the royal treatment as an artist as I did in the acting world.
Hello Ariana :) Could you make an old rumor clear for me? Years ago I think I heard that at one time you wanted to get a book published about your experiences on set of Jurassic Park - I could be wrong but were these rumors true?
Whether the rumors were true or not probably won't matter too much, but do you think that one day you might start a book about either your art or movie career in some form?
Dear Andyroo,
I’m continually amazed that you and others on the team behind this site find these things. You would have been a great detective. Perhaps Sherlock Holmes is an upcoming character in one of your stage performances? ;) Anyway, that old rumor is true. Certainly one day I would very much enjoy putting together a book on my experiences throughout my acting career and into my art career as well. Many people that I have worked with are remarkable, unforgettable! The places I’ve traveled to have helped to make who I am. And the future continues to unfold with promise so yes, a book eventually.

February 6th 2004 Administration Changes
As you may or may not have heard, Mr. Gregory B. Jackson has expressed that he will no longer be able to continue acting as Director of Relations for the ARIFC.
Hello, everyone...
I wanted to let everyone know that due to the fact that a turning point has been reached in my personal life, I will no longer be capable of acting as Director of Relations for the ARIFC. Ariana has been informed of this and she expresses her understanding.
I have appointed X. L. Ho as Acting Director of Relations until such time as he and the remaining ARIFC staff decide who will be doing what with me no longer involved. Ariana is fine with this arrangement and is looking forward to working with X. L. in maintaining the ariana.org website.
This was not an easy decision to make, but it is necessary. I wanted to tell you all just how much of an honor it has been to be a part of all of this for the past nine years. Many of us have been through good and bad times together, as the fan community has evolved over that time. I still remember when we were just a mailing list, dreaming of even being known about by Ariana.
I want to thank the original ARIFC co-founders, Wim Godden and Andreas Schuetz for the invaluable help they provided in the early days, establishing much of what still remains a physical part of the ARIFC, though it has changed forms and has become integrated into the ariana.org web site. Without their contributions, we never would have gotten off the ground.
I also want to thank X. L., Wayne, David, Sci Fi and AtherWorld for their hard work and contributions of time and talent towards the ARIFC and this web site. You guys have all been great, and I encourage you to keep up the outstanding work.
I thank, as well, all of the members (old and new) of the ARIFC who are joined together by a common interest in Ariana and her many talents. Without you, our efforts would have been in vain. It is my hope that this web site will continue to keep you informed about Ariana's professional work.
And last, but in no way least, I thank Ariana Richards for being the kind and gentle person we have come to know her to be. All of this has been our way of saying "thank you" to her for holding true to good wholesome values and for her encouragement to go for our dreams.
I shall miss you all. It has been an awesome nine years.
I leave you with this simple prayer:
May the Lord bless each and every one of you, give you hope and give you peace as you go forth to face each and every day ahead. May you all find Salvation in Him. In Jesus' name. Amen
In Christ, Gregory B. Jackson Former Director of Relations, The Ariana Richards Internet Fan Community |
Thank you, Gregory, for your outstanding services to this community. In those nine years, we have been through numerous trials and tribulations, and you were there with us every step of the way. We're still here today because of you. We wish you all the best in your future endeavours.
We will miss you truely.
